Ukraine crisis：Has the Chinese grand strategic game been played with diplomatic finesse？
The Ukraine crisis is a result of a failed grand strategy at the global level as played by the USA. Just some time back in 2021，they had enunciated the revised thinking，that the actual strategic rival to the US is now China and that US strategy and policy toward China must be laser-focused on the fault lines so as to exploit China’s weakness rather than frittering away American energy on non-essential issues and countries.
But in spite of the changed objectives，it appears that their cold war mindset of the 1960s had not actually changed. It is very clear that Biden kept on insisting of further weakening Russia.
As per their new prioritization their national objective should have been China and the Indo-Pacific theater rather than tinkering with an ex superpower.Biden and his team failed to calculate that putting additional sanctions on Russia will only drive it into a tighter grip of the dragon.US has thus failed to remain on track of their new alignment and grand strategy based on the’Robert D.Blackwill and Ashley J.Telli’Report’，which basically had said：”The singlemost important challenge facing the United States in the twenty-first century is the rise of an increasingly auth rian China
Russia on its part was only seeking a little strategic space for guarding its security ag inst Ukraine’s NATO formulations. Therefore，it was only seeking that Russia may be allowed to justly recm its lost glory and secure its sphere of influence being a great erstwhile power.
The only way that the Americans can keep the Chinese away is to fracture the current Russia-China alignment.
It is better if Biden could have thought of a ber strategy to create differences between both Russia and China.US is still the world power and it has enough leverage to do so.
By weakening Russia，how is US benefiting geopo itically.？Maybe because Biden was obsessed with getting in-roads in Russia’s backyard at the Black Sea.Obviously，such an American objective was being falsely led due to an immature leadership of Zelensky.
Therefore，do we say that the Phase 1 of the Russian Ukraine operations actually became possible because of the Chinese support. The result of this crisis will directly impact India as nof only it emboldens China ag inst India but T would become a sitting duck in Phase 2 of the Chinese calculations.
China has therefore prepared ground for an offensive in the Indo-Pacific and Himyas without even firing a shot.
This is beyond doubt that the Chinese checkers has been played with great finesse and hasopened the way for the anticipated PLA offensive on T as phase 3 of Chinese calculations.
Any attack in the Himyas will only be much later，may be as Phase 4，because the Chinese knowthat they will not be able to overrun the Indian Army after they got a taste of the Galwan in dent.India will have to depend on its own strength.Beyond doubt the PLA is aware of this reality and would thus avoid a direct man to man combat
这场危机的结果将直接影响 ，不仅让中国胆大妄为对抗 ，而且台湾将成为中国的第二阶段中的一个目标。
Further，as a fall out of the Ukraine crisis，Biden with his flawed American strategy is likely to apply sanctions on India too，for purchase of S-400 Air Defense sy ems.
Lastly，by this crisis，Chinese have successfully shifted the spotlight（for being originators of the Carona Pandemic）to the Ukraine crisis.
The whole geo-po itical s-off of this crisis is disadvantageous to India. The threat to India has aggravated post Ukraine attack and that the West will turn away from India，at least for sometime for not making an open statement ag inst Russia. This leaves India with a very difficult predicament and difficult times are ahead with enhanced Chinese belligerence.
Ignoring sovereign status of Ukraine–and its brutal military invasion by Russia—no blog can be judicious meaningful.
What nonsense is this..？Regardless of any other Nation or NATO policy or grandstanding，howcan any one defend Russion Adventure？This is like saying India should attack Nepal and then Sri Lanka and God knows what next because those nations have re gies that are now aligning with China（or Chinese money）Irrespective of American or NATO policy，Ukraine a sovereign nation is attacked and the attack is unprovoked–this is typical bully behavior by Russia（read Putin）.Any Russian who thinks rationally CANNOT justify this–no matter what these bookish policy strategists think
Russia and Ukraine have a number of complementaries.Strong relations between the two is good for not only the people of two countries but also the world.Russia can still salvage the situation by going all out for development of Ukraine through synergies between the two and win the hearts of people of Ukraine.China is the country which needs to be put in its place.A stronger Russia-Ukraine will subdue Chinese belligerence.
This a poor article and written with a very old mindset.First of all，India is not Ukraine. It has a very strong military and all kinds of wons.Second，unlike Ukraine that has a sizeable Russian speaking population，there is no such Chinese origin group in India（although India does have the Congress and Leftist traitors who might be much worse）.Third，US needs India more than India needs US.US needs India’s markets. Moreover，Indians in general like the US.Why wouldthe US want to lose that kind of support？The sanctions etc that US regularly threatens India with are for wanting to get more of India’s business
Sadly BIDEN’s LONGTERM STRATEGY looks more PRO CHINA but that is definetly NOT GOOD for USA.
The differences between the West and Russia over the eastward expansion of NATO are almost thirty years old.Perhaps a sincere effort should have been made to address Russian
sensitivities，work out iron clad guarantees，even a formal non aggression pact.Over the last few months，as Russia began ssing troops along the Ukrainian border，America not only shared intelligence with its European allies，it also made its concerns known to the Chinese（NYT）.
Sought their intercession to avoid conflict but were rebuffed.
No one in the world supports the Russian invasion of Ukraine.A friend like India called up the same night and urged an immediate cessation of violence. The Chinese have made a pretence of support but must actually be unhappy. The economic consequences of this crisis will also work out to their detriment.
Hard to see how China would wish to see its principal ally reduced to that status
For India，a difficult bncing act.
It’s another myth that US or any other allies will come to the rescue act…..It will be all left for the individual nations to defend it out themselves…..Max what other countries might do would be putting sanctions，which，really don’t know how effective it is！！！！！！
T is another like Ukraine which thinks US will intervine when attacked，then also US will put sanctions on China（In China case even sanctions will be temporary）.

HA HA What a game.what a shame on chinese
The dragon has got the golden opportunity to brag because it knows the emaciated condition of Uncle Sam due to recent Afghan imbroglio.USA is unable to intervene physically havingemptied its coffers in showering bounties on Pakistan and Afghans.Except for ineffective sanctions，US seems to be unable to do anything else.Ukraine has been left to fend for itself.
Wonderful stand by China over ukraine matter in stead condemning Russia accusing US in another way
China is taking a stand on their own interests. They want arms technology from Russia，so that they can overpower T，India，..etc etc
China and Russia are e I twins.India should stay away from them.
China is a se less e I that can not be anybody’s friend. It just wants to win by taking the support of Russia at this moment
INDIA will benefit vastly by FACILITATING RUSSIA WEAN OFF from CHINA the global HEGEMON
Economic Forums and Economic Cooperation Associations are fine but India should steer away from military alliances disguised in any form.QUAD is a de-facto Military Alliance that will unwittingly suck India into any US-China confrontation or conflict in the South China Sea.
For once India’s foreign policy stand is alligned with China’s.Clearly national interests make strange bedfellows.
Does anybody ever believe the Chinese liars？
Whatever else，one thing is clear，US，EU and NATO powers have let Ukraine down.It is foolish to live on their promise.，It was US Presi nt Biden’s first test of his diplomatic strength. He has utterly failed..No wonder if taking a cue from Ukraine in dent，China repeats in T what Russia has done in Ukraine
Trouble awaits for this opportunist China.Smart reaction.Priority is business.Ready to fish in troubled waters. Will make no effort to help resolve the crisis.
China is very smart. At the expense of Russia，China has managed to blunt his Key adversary USA.
There’s a lot for us to learn from China’s reaction. We’re ostensibly allies of the USA through QUAD，but we are one of few countries that recognised Crimea belongs to Russia. We’re straddling two horses as much as China is.
Let us see，how NATO will react.
Looks like the Russian attack on and invasion of Ukraine，will now embolden and prompt China to attack T.Poor US

Indians have to learn lesson from it that the country has to defend itself for which the first requirement is a Powerful PM Presi nt.
it is high time to revamp UNO and remove VETOISM and all the countries to be counted as 1 unit and equal s of Voting. We are always at the receiving end due to the Veto powers.
Before invading Ukraine，Putin had visited Beig and shared and discussed the strategy with china
Russia just showed to the world that US doesn’t have the guts to defend its allies
Ukraine is not an ally to US，and US don’t have contractual committment to defend them..
Modi jee should learn from putin what is real surgical strike
The americans love to bully small countries！China is openly supporting russia but biden doesnt have any guts to take action ag inst them！Will only bully smaller countries
Next target is T…the chinese are emboldened by Russia’s actions.Moral of the story：Be self reliant
So India has to be v careful.Improve our defence capabilities and deterrence so that we are not as helpless as Ukraine
